Shelby, a Brazoria County native, joined The Oak in 2004 after spending 10 years working in the chemical and paper industries. He spent his first years with the company taking on new roles and challenges within the business, learning more about the industry. He works diligently to serve his own clients and also works closely with several of the Oak Advisors to assist in building portfolios and servicing the families we work with.

Shelby is an analyst for mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and fee-based portfolios. He also works on college planning for the team, and assists in the research of alternative investments such as REIT’s, Oil and Gas Limited Partnerships, and Managed Futures.
