Financial Advisor

James is a native Texan born in the south Texas town of Refugio. The son of a minister, he grew up in Refugio, Freeport, McAllen, and San Antonio, Texas, and Opelousas, Louisiana. After graduating from college, James worked for 19 successful years at the Dow Chemical Company in various research and engineering departments. He resigned from Dow to pursue his passion, a career as a financial advisor, in 1997.

Having worked for other national financial services firms during his career, James is keenly aware of the value of an independent broker/dealer firm. Working with an independent broker/dealer allows him to focus on each client’s financial goals and use the products and services most suited for each client. Additionally, James’s diverse background and experience gives him a broad depth of understanding regarding the needs and the concerns of clients.

James is licensed for securities and insurance and is an investment adviser representative of Arkadios Wealth, a registered investment adviser. He has an MS in business from Houston Baptist University. James has offices in Angleton and Tyler, Texas.

James and his wife, Brenda, have two grown children, Cara and James (J.R.). James and Brenda enjoy traveling, events with family, and Saturday mornings at the beach. James enjoys outings on the golf course and is very involved with community and church activities.
